OK, so put your hand up if you have had a truly great experience with a recruitment company? OK, that didn't work, now put your hand up if you have had a bad experience with a recruitment company...there you go...knew it wouldn't be long before we got your hand up :-)

 Our industry is rubbish, recruitment companies work to an outdated (not sure when it was ever in date) modus operandi, most are considered a necessary evil...we believe the recruitment market needs a kick in the backside and we fancy ourselves as a bloody great foot!

Chemistry - The Story

Well, our founder, Roger had a moment of enlightenment, working as the Head of Resourcing at Nortel Networks in the time of the telecoms boom, he was shocked with the service that his team received from their recruitment vendors...it was awful, and so in the Winter of 2000 he vowed that he would one day, change an industry...some 3 years later in his conservatory the journey started...he launched KHA Resourcing & Development Solutions Ltd, one week later KHA were asked to help Archie Norman (of Asda fame) with the people re-engineering of a broken telecoms company he had acquired, Energis. 

The Energis project was great and allowed KHA to grow a bit, however we were restless and in the summer of 2004 our simply brilliant Head of Marketing Sue decided that we needed some help to shape our future business, so we asked the business consultancy Dave to help us find ourselves.  Dave are specialists in working with challenger brands, their team worked on such brands as First Direct, Orange, Go and Innocent.

Over the next year we worked with our clients and Dave's clients in order to create the Chemistry proposition, Chemistry is the only recruitment company proven to be over 75% accurate in predicting a new hires future performance.  Our competition work to an accuracy of 25%...yep 200% more accurate...we were feeling great, this was different, it was awesome...

However our panel of experts declared that we needed to prove it, put simply they wanted to see us put our money where our mouth was...so we did, for one year we didn't charge our clients anything...after 6 months of the candidate's we hired for them being in place we asked them how much of our fee they thought we deserved?  Guess how much we got back? 25%? Nope. 50% Nope...we received on average 76.7% back...we had nearly broken the company but had in doing so irrefutedly proved our proposition.

So the proposition was set, we have a proven 75% accurate recruitment methodology and we believe it so much we place part of our fee at risk based on the client's feedback 6 months after making a placement.

So that's cool, how else are we different? Well let's see...
